On 2 August 2012 a proud owner received his very special Valtra. Since Agritechnica 2011 the N113H5 “fingerprint tractor” has been touring around Europe to promote the Valtra Africa project. Now the tractor is finally in the hands of its owner and being put to work.
On 24 May 2012 Kurt Deistler won the bid for probably the most individual tractor at the Ritchie Bros. auction in Meppen, Germany. The Deistler family farm is located at Hohenbuch in Bavaria, where they cultivate 50 hectares of arable land. Because of an old measuring mark, the village promotes itself as the centre of the world.
In addition to looking after the family’s own fields, the tractor will be used by the Agriculture Service Team GmbH & Co KG (AST), where Kurt Deistler is one of the partners. AST is a group of 16 persons who offer complete services, from seeding to harvesting, as well as renting machinery. The Valtra N113 will work with a 4-rotor-rake, a round baler wrapper combination and a front loader. The HiTech5 is perfect for these tasks. In addition, the Finnish tractor will prove itself performing winter maintenance work.
Kurt Deistler is a long-time Valtra driver, having used a Valtra 8950 in his fleet since 2001. This tractor inspired him with its economical and simple operation, as well as with its comfort on road and field thanks to its air suspension. It is used with a butterfly mower, for which the TwinTrac reverse-drive system is irreplaceable. In Kurt’s opinion the new N Series scores with its proven and robust technology, manoeuvrability and sensitive hydraulic valves. In addition to the tractor’s unique appearance, these were the main reasons why he made a bid at the auction in Meppen.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in this auction and supported it. Special thanks goes to the visitors at Agritechnica 2011 and the Deistler family. With your help and support, agriculture in Africa has progressed another step, and along the way a unique tractor has been created about that we are sure to hear more about in the future.
We wish Kurt Deistler and his family much fun and joy with his very special Valtra!
