Held every two years, the exhibition attracted over 350,000 visitors in 2009, including 77,000 visitors from abroad. This year even more visitors are expected, along with 2600 exhibitors. All of the exhibition area’s 24 halls, covering 320,000 square metres, will be used for the first time. The first two days of the exhibition are preview days, tickets for which are significantly more expensive than on the remaining days.
The Valtra stand can be found in Hall 9, Section C19. The hall is situated in the northeast corner, close to the south and east entrances.
Valtra will present on the stand its entire range of tractor models. The star attraction at the Valtra stand will be the world premiere of a new model series that is the most powerful in its class. Other attractions include a tractor that visitors to the stand can help paint with their fingerprints. The customised tractor will be auctioned off after Agritechnica, and the proceeds will go towards supporting the Weiveld Agriculture School in South Africa.
The Valtra stand will also present the second generation of Valtra biogas tractors. The first N111 Dual Fuel tractor running on biogas and diesel was launched a year and a half ago at the Borgeby Field Days event in Sweden. Since then the tractor has been tested around the world. The test results have been so encouraging that the Dual Fuel system has now been introduced on the T133 HiTech model. The new tractor is the first to combine the Dual Fuel system with clean SCR technology.
