Third Valtra for forestry use to Gunde Svan
Sweden’s most successful cross-country skier, four-time Olympic champion, and seven-time world champion Gunde Svan and his son Ferry visited today on Wednesday 16th November the Valtra tractor factory in Suolahti to look at the production of his own tractor. The brand-new metallic white Valtra N154 EcoPower Direct (155 hp) is the third in the series of Gunden’s Valtra, which is tailor-made equipped for forestry use. In addition to standard features, the tractor has, among others, a Skyview cab, TwinTrac reverse drive, polycarbonate glasses, and Premium working lights; Also, a few other accessories will be amounted in the Valtra Unlimited Studio.
Since finishing his active skiing career in the beginning of the 90´s, Gunde Svan has been involved in many things, including successfully driving in the rally cross European championship series, acted as manager of the cross-country skiing team, written works, and participated in several TV programmes. Today, he takes an increasing time in running his forest property of approximately 1,000 hectares and the same time he fills up his time with active TV work. He bought his first Valta tractor back in the 1980’s after a long and careful comparison. Already at that time, Valtra was the most suitable tractor for the forest.

Gunde’s experience as a forester and machine driver is excellent and serves as a valuable reference in marketing in now for the fourth generation of Valtra tractors in forestry use. Gunde is known as a reliable and down-to-earth person, and as a skillful and careful forest manager. Also his son Ferry is following in his father’s footsteps.
