Six months after the launch of the Valtra T4, the 1000th unit was produced at the Suolahti factory in Finland in May. The T144 Active was personally driven off the production line by Polish customer Adam Jarnutowski.
The white metallic T Series tractor is the latest investment at Jarnutowski’s farm near Łomża in northeastern Poland where he runs a dairy business with 74 ha land and 132 cattle including 70 milk cows together with his father Henryk and the support of his wife Emilia. “I am looking forward to driving the tractor on the farm. It will replace a JD7800 and a JD6800 in handling all major tasks at the farm including ploughing, seeding, muck spreading, mowing, baling and even pulling the feeder”, comments Jarnutowski and adds that his new T144 will clock up around 1000 hours per year.
Versatile tractor usage calls for a versatile tractor, so the 1000th unit was equipped with popular T4 options such as a front linkage, ISOBUS connector, pneumatic brakes and an engine block heater. To ensure comfort during long hours Aires+ front axle suspension, cab suspension, an air-suspended driver seat, a 270° windscreen wiper and a cool box are also part of the configuration. A front PTO and premium work lights were added to the order sheet only shortly before the production, so they will exceptionally be fitted to the machine at the factory’s Unlimited Studio.
Since its launch in November 2014 the T Series has received great positive recognition. The tractor was voted Machine of the Year 2015 in the 180-280hp category at SIMA, and was received awards at agricultural shows in Denmark, Poland and Lithuania.
Jarnutowski’s decision to purchase a Valtra tractor was largely influenced by the good relationship with his Valtra dealer Agrotechnik. According to Adam Zaluski, Sales Director at Agrotechnik, the new T Series is a very competitive tractor in its horsepower range. The tractors’ new design and spacious cab have attracted a lot of attention among farmers and contractors. “Our customers also value our comprehensive product offering, good service and a good relationship with the dealer”, he adds. Based in Stawiski, northeastern Poland, Agrotechnik offers a full line of machines for agricultural and forestry services. The company started selling Valtra tractors three years ago and they are a significant representative of the brand in the region.

The current share of T4 tractors in the factory order bank is as high as 43%. The most popular models are T174e Versu, T214 Direct and T234 Versu. The metallic white launch colour, which was originally chosen because it underlines the new design, is also by far the most popular: 28% of all T4 tractors are produced in white. This is followed by black metallic and red in shared second place with a 18% and red metallic with 17%.
