The Unlimited Studio at the Valtra factory in Suolahti, Finland, has delivered its 1000th specially tailored tractor to the customer. The Unlimited Studio has been operating since 2013 with the aim of fulfilling all the wishes that customers may have for their new tractors so long as they are feasible.
“There has been great demand for this service, even more than we anticipated, so our operations have expanded rapidly. In 2013 we delivered 145 Unlimited tractors, mainly to Finnish customers. In 2014 we delivered 475 tractors, and this year we expect to deliver over 600 tractors. These days 56 percent of Unlimited tractors are exported,” says Petri Loukiala, head of the Unlimited Studio.
Unlimited tractors are designed according to individual customer demands while guaranteeing the suitability of the specifications to the tractor model in question and its other functions. One of the great strengths of the service is that all of the specifications are documented in the factory’s systems, so full product support is available in terms of both spare parts and the service network.
“The most popular options include auxiliary lights, special paint and striping, modifications to the hydraulics and electrics, and auxiliary heaters. We have also delivered large quantities of similarly specified tractors, including over a hundred tractors to the Finnish Defence Forces, as well as special campaign models ordered by our importers,” Loukiala continues.
The customisation possibilities offered by the Unlimited Studio have expanded even more with the introduction of the fourth generation T Series. Even though the new T Series is available with an extremely comprehensive range of features, there will always be individual wishes that only the Unlimited Studio can meet.
1000th Unlimited tractor to be used for property maintenance
The 1000th Unlimited tractor was an N113 HiTech 5 ordered by the City of Tampere. The tractor was completed at the end of August and will be used for property maintenance.
“In summertime we expect to use it primarily for taking care of our sports fields, while in wintertime it will be used to plough snow. But of course, the tractor is so versatile that we can use for many other tasks, such as sanding, snow throwing and sweeping streets,” says equipment manager Petri Salonen together with planning technician Tommi Karo of the City of Tampere.
Their tractor is quite typical of the kind of tractors delivered by the Unlimited Studio. Its specifications include a Jake front linkage, powerful LED working lights, tyres with independent tread blocks, an engine block heater and battery charger.
