Valtra T202 Direct internationally recognised

Valtra Direct tractors with their innovative CVT transmission have been recognised widely since the introduction in autumn 2008. In November 2009 readers of Norway's leading agricultural magazine Bedre Gardsdrift voted the T202 Direct tractor of the year. In January 2010 the same tractor also received the  prestigious Agro+Mashexpo award at the exhibition in Budapest, Hungary.

More Valtra AutoComfort awards 2008

Valtra AutoComfort has received recognition at the FIMA exhibition in Spain and at the Polagra exhibition in Poland (2008). The semi-active cab suspension system already received a silver medal for innovation at Agritechnica 2007.

Master Cana Award 2007

Valtra was awarded the Master Cana Award in the category "Best Tractor Manufacturer”.

Two silver Innovations Awards at Agritechnica 11/2007

Valtra was awarded innovation silver medals at the Agritechnica 2007 for AutoComfort semi-active cab suspension and the turning Valtra LHLINK front linkage.

AutoComfort is a semi-active cab suspension system that automatically adjusts to different driving conditions. The system consists of electronically controlled shock absorbers, a position sensor and a control unit that is connected to the tractor via a CAN bus.

The innovative LHLINK front linkage attaches to the tractor’s frame by a vertical pivot, allowing the linkage to turn in the desired amount with the front wheels or even independently of the front wheels. Valtra LHLINK front linkage has been developed together with the major Finnish parts supplier LH Lift Oy and Afcon Oy, an agricultural and forest technology R&D company.

Master Cana Award 2006

Valtra was awarded the Master Cana Award in the category "Best Tractor Manufacturer”.

Honourable mention at FIMA exhibition in Spain, 2/2006

The Valtra N Series equipped with the new TwinTrac reverse drive system won Honourable Mention at the FIMA exhibition. According to the panel of judges, the ergonomics of TwinTrac are excellent, and the system increases productivity of work. TwinTrac reverse drive is one of the unique features offered by Valtra.

Master Cana Award 2005

Valtra was awarded the Master Cana Award in the categories "Best Tractor Manufacturer” and “Best After Sales Service”. Valtra has been awarded this prestigious prize for the fifth year in row.

Valtra C Series - Tractor of the year 2005

Each year the best new tractors are awarded at the EIMA International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Manufacturers Exhibition in Italy. At the end of 2004 the Valtra C Series was awarded the prestigious Golden Tractor for the Design. The Golden Tractor of the Year was selected by a jury consisting of journalists representing major agricultural machinery publications from 15 European countries.

Master Cana Award 2004

Valtra’s Brazilian factory was awarded the prestigious Master Cana Award by the country’s sugarcane producers. Valtra won two categories: “Best Tractor” and “Best After Sales Service”.

OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Certificate 2003

Valtra's operations have been certified as complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The Occupational Health and Safety Management System ensures that health and safety issues continue to be developed throughout the entire company. An important aspect is increasing safety and awareness among workers through training and education, thus improving wellbeing and motivation of all personnel. These in turn increase our ability to offer customers better and safer products and services.

Valtra S Series - Tractor of the year 2003

In 2002 the Valtra S Series was elected Winner of the Golden Tractor for the Design award.

ISO 14001 Environment Certificate, 12/2000

Valtra received certification for its successful environmental programme in 2000. Valtra Inc. has designed its environmental programme according to the ISO14001 standard. Det Norske Veritas evaluated the programme's success and its chairman Hans Fagerström issued Valtra Inc. the environmental certificate on December 20, 2000. The environmental certificate was dated December 4, 2000, and it covers marketing, product development, production and services.

Sima 2001 Innovation Awards 12/2000

Valtra received the Sima 2001 Innovation award for Aires, the pneumatic front-axle suspension for agricultural tractors.

What makes this suspension unique is that its functioning is directly governed by the axle load. A level sensor which records the load allows the air flow which makes the suspension respond to be regulated. It can be locked mechanically so that it can be used in specific circumstances and a device which automatically injects alcohol into the air flow ensures that it will function even when it is freezing.

Improved driver's comfort is the main advantage. Tiredness is reduced and safety when transporting heavy loads on the road is improved. This type of suspension also has the advantage of being able to operate in all weathers, whatever the load, thus improving traction and using the engine efficiently, which in turn results in a reduction in the consumption of diesel oil.

Valtra X Series - The Best in Show, Elmia Sweden 10/2000

Valtra X Series, a standard tractor equipped with articulated steering. The Jury's motivation: The Valtra X Series has been awarded best in Show because it offers the user increased cost efficiency. It is a conventional farming tractor equipped with articulated steering, which increases the tractor's versatility.

Logistics Award Summer 06/2000

The Logistic Company of the year was announced at the opening ceremony of the Transport - Logistics 2000 exhibition. Valtra received the award from the ministry of transport and communication Olli-Pekka Heinonen.

Finnish Quality Award 11/1999

Valtra was given the Finnish Quality Award in November 1999.

“I am very proud, both personally and on behalf of Valtra’s staff and partners, to receive the Finnish Quality Award in the industry category,” says Mr Jouko Tukiainen, President and CEO at Valtra.

“Our primary motive in pursuing the Finnish Quality Award was our own need to define and describe our business operations, and to get the extremely useful feedback of the professional auditors of Laatukeskus – the Centre for Excellence Finland, in order to develop our operations in the right direction. I must admit, this is a delightful surprise indeed.”

Agritechnica Gold 11/1997

The Mega 8750 Sigma Power "Sum-up-power-tractor” was awarded the DLG (The German Agricultural Society) gold medal in the Agritechnica Exhibition in Germany.

Sigma Power, now available in next generation 8950 with HiTech transmission, enables a 5.4 ton tractor to produce 180 hp PTO power for the modern PTO driven implements.

A 200 engine hp tractor with Sigma Power and TwinTrac double controls competes with self-propelled special machines. It can be used all year round and has the advantage of lower capital costs. Tractors equipped with Sigma Power also have the environmental advantage of creating less soil compaction.

ISO 9001 Quality Certificate for Valtra Inc. 12/1993

At the end of 1993, the Det Norske Veritas organisation audited the Suolahti plant and found Valtra´s quality system to be in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard. The quality certificate is dated December 1993 and Valtra was the first tractor factory in the world to receive this certificate. Valtra do Brasil S.A. received the ISO 9001 certification in 1995. Sisu Diesel Inc., formerly an affiliate of Valtra Inc. received their ISO 9001 certificate in 1995.
