The start of the Agritechnica exhibition in Hanover, Germany, was lively. A lot of customers, journalists, business partners and other guests visited the Valtra stand on the first exhibition day. The first two days of the seven day exhibition have traditionally been exclusive days, but this year the guests range from farmers to potential suppliers.
Already over 500 T and N Series Versu tractors with five-step powershift transmissions have been delivered from the Suolahti factory to customers around the world. Finnish contractors drive over 1000 hours over 6 weeks.
Matti Herlevi from Valtra Shell Pulling Team drove Caesar to second place in the Euro Cup final in Bettborn, Luxembourg and second overall in the tractor pulling Euro Cup for the 2009 season.

On 3-6 June around 50,000 visitors from all over the world came to one of the world's biggest forest shows, ElmiaWood, looking for the latest innovations in the forest industry.
Valtra is renowned for its expertise in forest tractors. In June Valtra is going to demonstrate this expertise with an impressive line-up of 30 tractors at ElmiaWood, the world's number one international forestry trade fair.
The Jyväskylä-based ice hockey team JYP has won the Finnish Championship. Valtra has been the main sponsor of JYP since 2004, when the finals of the Finnish Championship were set as the main goal for co-operation.
Valtra’s R&D team recently organised an Arctic Marathon to test the new Versu and Direct models, as well as the new S Series. The marathon involved non-stop tractor work for 24 hours a day, five days in a row, including 1400 kilometres of transfer journeys, 5400 cubic metres of manure, temperatures down to –24 Celsius and 70 centimetres of snow.
