The new smaller N Series models, the turning front linkage Valtra LHLINK, AutoComfort – the semi-active cab suspension and the possibility to use Valtra tractors with 100% biodiesel are attracting a large crowd to the Valtra stand on the Agritechnica exhibition in Hannover, Germany.
The Norwegian Automobile Association (Norges Automobil-Forbund or NAF) runs 27 practice tracks throughout the country that it uses to promote safe and economical driving habits to both young and experienced drivers.

Approximately half the output of Valtra’s Suolahti factory goes to Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. Around 90 percent of Valtra’s customers in these Nordic countries are farmers and members of the central organisations for agricultural producers within their respective countries.
Jari Rautjärvi has been appointed Vice President, Managing Director of Valtra for AGCO EAME, effective immediately. Located at Valtra’s tractor manufacturing facility in Suolahti, Finland and AGCO’s new European Headquarters in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, he will be responsible for the management and development of all of Valtra’s operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The Valtra 6000 Series is justifiably considered the company’s success story, a model that has been continuously developed to meet contemporary demands and the specific needs of customers. Production of the 6000 Series will finally come to an end this year and its distinguished place taken by the N Series, which has rapidly achieved the same kind of popularity as the original Valmet Mezzo Series did in the early 1990s.
Father Rainer and sons Frank and Robert Scheibe drove all the way from the island of Rügen off Germany’s Baltic Sea coast to the Valtra factory in Suolahti, Finland to watch their new tractor being built. As the men arrived at the assembly line their tractor was just coming out of the paint shop.
Nimenio, a bullfighter standing over 4 metres in height, taps visitors on the shoulder and invites them to take a closer look at the tractors. Nimenio is accompanied by an equally tall Spanish lady named Rosa Luna. This is one invitation that really can’t be refused!
Over 150 international members of the press were on hand for the launch of the new T Series and the opening of the R&D Centre in Suolahti on 17-18 January. At the same time the journalists took the opportunity to visit the SisuDiesel engine plant in Linnavuori.
