Biodiesel is suitable for most Valtra tractors

Biodiesel can be used to fuel most Valtra and Valmet tractors, the only partial exception being those models with the newest Tier 3 compliant Common Rail engines. The biodiesel fuel must be esterified and fulfil European EN 14214 or American ASTM D6751 norms.

Valtra received the MasterCana Award for The Best Tractor Manufacturer and the best After-Sales Service in the sugar cane segment. This is the 5th consecutive year that the company has won the MasterCana, one of the most important awards in this agricultural segment. The awarding event took place at Palacio do Governo de São Paulo on November 8th.

Agritechnica 2005, the world´s biggest agricultural trade fair, has closed its gates. Agritechnica 2005 was the eleventh exhibition in its history and with approx. 252 000 visitors (including more than 42.000 visitors from abroad), there was an increase in visitor numbers by eleven percent compared to the previous Agritechnica exhibition.

Irish Valtra driver John Tracey took silver at the World Ploughing Championships held in Prague, the Czech Republic, on 16-17 September. Tracey was competing in the conventional ploughing event using a Valtra A Series tractor and Kverneland plough.

A Valtra S280 has once again broken the world ploughing record. Frenchman Jacky Bouedo managed to plough 398 hectares in just 56 hours between 2 and 4 September in French Mormandy near City of Caen. Bouedo’s previous record was from autumn 2003, when he ploughed 245 hectares in 36 hours.
