Power, style and control

Norwegian Valtra customer Olaf Tufte won gold at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games in single sculls rowing. Tufte has two Valtra tractors at home: a Valtra M150 and a Valtra 700. Tufte mainly farms corn on his father’s farm at Nykirke in Vestfold, but forestry also provides a main source of income. Tufte, 28, is also a trained fire fighter, and he lives together with his girlfriend Aina.

Tufte has a reputation as being one of the most hardworking athletes in Norway – ever. He trains some 1200 hours every year, making an average of 25 hours a week. In the peak season, Tufte can put in up to 40 hours of training.

Tufte also won silver in men’s double sculls rowing with Fredrik Bekken at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. In addition, Tufte is two times World Champion in single sculls, winning in 2001 and 2003.

Valtra Norway has sponsored Tufte since 2003.
