Valtra’s stand at SIMA proves overwhelmingly popular

Nimenio, a bullfighter standing over 4 metres in height, taps visitors on the shoulder and invites them to take a closer look at the tractors. Nimenio is accompanied by an equally tall Spanish lady named Rosa Luna. This is one invitation that really can’t be refused!

The giant characters Rosa Luna and Mephisto helped sales training manager Bertrand Devaux present the N141 Advance. Standing over 4 metres in height, the puppets attracted a lot of attention by walking in and around the Valtra stand.

Valtra’s exhibition stands are famous for their surprising stunts and lively programmes. At the Paris International Agribusiness Show SIMA, visitors were attracted by giant puppets that were controlled by actors hidden within. Valtra’s stand indeed proved to be overwhelmingly popular throughout the entire five-day exhibition.

The stand presented no less than 17 tractors, from a giant doubled wheeled Valtra S280 to a nimble Valtra 3600C fruit farm tractor. The new T Series models that were launched in January aroused the most interest, appearing in Paris for the first time before a major audience. In addition, many visitors became acquainted with the new N Series Advance models and N111e and T151e EcoPower models for the first time. Valtra’s custom-built ideology was also strongly promoted on the stand, represented by a 2WD and open-cab A75, a forest-spec T130 and a municipal-spec 6530. Visitors were also entertained at the café, in the Valtra Collection shop and around the brochure stands.

“This is a really interesting show and an extremely good stand,” commented Christian Tremblay, just one of the many farmers who visited the Valtra stand.

Tremblay, who cultivates crops in Montoire sur le Loir, took delivery of a Valtra T140 a year ago. He was attracted to SIMA by the prospect of seeing new tractors and harvesters; he understandably skipped the animal husbandry portion of the show. His visit to the Valtra stand was made even more pleasant by the fact that his local dealer Max Berny from Monthodon happened to be present.

SIMA 2007 proved once again to be one of the world’s most popular agribusiness shows, attracting around 200,000 visitors over the five days. SIMA is staged in Paris every other year.

French farmer Christian Tremblay met up with his local Valtra dealer Max Berny from his native region of Le Mans. Tremblay’s experiences with his one-year-old T140 have been extremely positive.
