Valtra present at the European Tractor Pulling Championships in Alahärmä

European Tractor Pulling Championship in Alahärmä rounded up nearly 20 thousand visitors.
Valtra was very visible at the European Tractor Pulling Championships, which were held this year in Alahärmä, Finland, on the weekend of 3-4 September 2011. Valtra was one of the main sponsors of the event alongside Härmä Pulling, so Valtra tractors could be seen hard at work over the days taking care of the track and serving as official vehicles.
The Valtra Shell Pulling Team’s pit area was also a popular attraction among the spectators, who had a chance to see the competition tractors up close. The team participated at the European Championships with a total of four tractors in the Pro Stock category, in which Matti Herlevi drove Countdown to fifth place.
Together with Härmä Pulling, Valtra held a special lottery drawing for a chance to win an A93 HiTech tractor. The winner’s name was announced on the second day of the competition, the new tractor going to a very surprised Pentti Vähätiitto, a peat farmer from Pyhäntä.
At a special handover event in Pyhäntä, Vähätiitto expressed with a great big smile how it felt to win. “It feels great to win for once. It’s just a pity that I purchased two lottery tickets, since the other one went to waste!” Vähätiitto joked.
