Third Generation N Series

Valtra’s new N Series provides a clear view – not just for the driver from the cab, but also in terms of future investments. Whereas a six-cylinder tractor was once required to perform heavy tasks and provide peace of mind for its owner, the N Series demonstrates how improved productivity can be achieved with new technology and a state-of-the-art four-cylinder tractor.

Now less (cylinders) is more (productivity). The most powerful model in the N Series, the N163, produces up to 700 Nm of torque and 171 horsepower.

The brand new front-end design of the N Series makes it a compact tractor ideal for front-loader work.

Efficient comfort: new HiTech 5 transmission option

Driving a Valtra is now easier and more comfortable than ever.

The new HiTech 5 models feature a five-step powershift transmission. Shifting between the main gears is robotised, so no gear lever is required.

All transmission functions are controlled via pushbuttons on an ergonomically located fixed lever.

Smooth direction changes

HiTech 5 models can be equipped with the optional Valtra HiTrol turbine clutch. HiTrol makes continuous start/stop operations (e.g. front loader work), extremely smooth even under heavy load.

In combination with the various automated transmission features, operating this tractor could not be more comfortable.

Concentrate on the work not on gears

HiTech 5 models offer a versatile range of automated transmission features that greatly improve the driver's work especially when a lot of shifting is required.

The Auto 1 and Auto 2 powershift programmes change gear automatically when engine speed goes above or falls below a rpm preset by Valtra or the driver. The Speed Matching feature will automatically select the correct powershift speed to suit the situation immediately - even in reverse. The kick-down function speeds up shifting. When the accelerator pedal is pressed down fast, the system will temporarily shift down to a lower gear (when the system allows).
Autotraction automatically disengages the drive when the driver presses the brakes at less than 10 km/h or when the engine speeds drops below 1000 rpm. When the engine speed increases above 1000 rpm or the brake pedal is released, the drive engages smoothly.
Cruise Control allows the driver to set the desired driving speed or PTO speed. The pre-set speed is maintained automatically regardless of changes in load.

Reliable HiTech hydraulics

The open-centre hydraulics are the same as those on other HiTech models and are controlled by a mechanical lever. A 73-litre/minute hydraulic pump comes as standard, with a 90-litre pump available as an option.

HiTech 5 models can be specified with up to 4 hydraulic valves in the rear and 2 valves in the front.

	SVC cab The five-pillar SVC cab offers unrivalled visibility in all directions. It is now available on Versu and Direct models in addition to HiTech models.
	Forest cab For extra visibility and safety during forest operation the new N Series models can be equipped with a forestry cab. The cab features a protective cage around the roof, super strong and large polycarbonate glass, and an extra window above.
	Valtra LHLink The new N Series models can also be equipped with the Valtra LHLINK pivoting front linkage.
	TwinTrac With TwinTrac reverse drive controls the tractor can also work backwards. The working direction can be changed without leaving the driver’s seat.
	HiTrol turbine clutch The HiTrol turbine clutch ensures smooth operation during tasks that require frequent stopping and starting such front-loader work. HiTrol is available as an option on N113 and N123 HiTech and HiTech 5 models.
	Auto-Steering The Versu and Direc models are available with a new factory-fitted Auto-Steering readiness or the complete System 150 Auto-Steering package, which can steer the tractor with an accuracy of just a few centimetres.
	AGCOMMAND Telemetry The factory-fitted AGCOMMAND satellite navigation system allows the location, current task, productivity and servicing requirements of the tractor to be monitored over the internet.

Maximized fuel efficiency

Valtra’s range of SCR tractors now extends to the new N Series.

For tractor users SCR technology is simple, as electronics take care of the system. The driver’s only task is to fill the AdBlue tank.

In SCR engines the combustion of fuel is optimised, as the latest technology ensures always the best efficiency. The new tractor models offer even more power and torque.

How you benefit from SCR technology

SCR engine technology reduces fuel consumption by approximately 5-10 percent. In addition, the particulate and nitrogen oxide emissions are reduced to a fraction compared to the previous technology.

Tractor users also benefit from the fact that the SCR technology reduces the need for engine cooling and keeps the lubrication oil cleaner, which extends the engine life.

Valtra has years of experience with SCR technology. The Valtra S Series introduced in 2008 was the first agricultural tractor in the world to feature SCR technology.
