“Fits for every farm” - Valtra proudly presents N Series - 100hp to 150 hp

06.11.2005

N Series is an authentic Valtra based on proven Valtra technology combined with new features developed to provide maximum efficiency and productivity for every type of farm – arable and livestock.

The N Series tractors are powered by a four-cylinder SisuDiesel engine with the two higher powered models featuring new common rail fuel injection with extra power boost for transport driving. The highest power rating of 150/160 hp is achieved by the new long-stroke 4.9 litre 49CWA engine. In addition to the stamina of the engine power, the new 44CWA and 49CWA engines offer the benefits of common rail: smooth running, lower noise, fast response and high start-up torque. Torque levels have been increased by up to 10 per cent compared with previous engine types. A new Valtra innovation is low idle for the common rail engines. When the tractor is parked and the handbrake engaged, the engine automatically slows to just 650 rpm. Also in the N range is the N111e with innovative Valtra slow running EcoPower engine.

All models of N Series feature a new engine intake filter enabling longer service intervals and less restriction in the airflow.

As a result of utilising four cylinder engines the new Valtra N Series are exceptionally compact and handy; the maximum height on 18.4R34 tyres is only 2.8 metres. The bonnet is short and sloping like in other Valtra tractors. The wheelbase is 2565 mm, making the tractor an extraordinarily stable front-loader tractor. Valtra’s new 45 (N91 and N101) 50, 55 and 65 loaders have been matched to these models. The new N Series fits every farm, for both arable and grassland farming.

Ergonomics and safety

The cab has been developed from that used on the T Series, offering plenty of room plus excellent ergonomic design and layout. The new outline also provides space for a passenger seat to the left of the driver. The door glass is of one piece, which increases visibility. The controls of Valtra´s popular TwinTrac reverse drive system have been improved; the steering column is now closer to the centreline of the cabin while swivelling the seat is now easier – done in an anticlockwise direction.

Hydro-pneumatic front axle suspension is offered as an option on the N Series. A very compact design allows acute turning and oscillation angles for the front wheels which results in tight turns. There are two front suspension operating modes: in the “on“ position the suspension is centered to the optimal level, and in the “off” position the suspension is locked in the lowest position.

A choice of well-proven Valtra transmissions are available. The most cost-effective is in Classic model: basic 24+24R synchro transmission with three Powershift speeds and synchronised shuttle with an optional 36+36 with creep speeds available. Another alternative is the HiTech transmission, probably the smoothest shifting shuttle on the market and on tractors up to 133hp the unique Valtra HiTrol turbo clutch is optional. A third alternative is the in Advance model: transmission with robotised shifting between Middle and High gear ranges. Because of this only one gear lever is needed.

Load-sensing hydraulics in Advance models

The top models of the Valtra N Series are fitted with a variable displacement piston pump having a maximum capacity of 115 litres per minute and maximum pressure of 200 bar. Up to four electronically controlled load-sensing valves are available. The flow rates can be handily pre-programming at 10%, 50% or 100%. The low rate can be used when an implement is fitted so the correct functions can be checked safely; 50% is the common setting, and 100% is used when a quick reaction is required – fast tipping of trailers for example. The hydraulic system features electronically controlled proportional valves.

The N Series has a completely new armrest ACHT (AutoControl Hydraulics Terminal) with a large screen and convenient controls. The new system enables joystick use of Valtra front loaders or the front linkage. A power beyond connection is available.

Cab suspension is also available in the Advance version of the N Series.

Production of Classic and HiTech versions of N Series will commence gradually at the beginning of 2006, Advance versions will be available during the second half of 2006.

Taylor your tractor, Valtra à la Carte

The N Series offers the widest variation of features, from synchro shuttle to partly robotised gear shifting and hydraulics, and from spool valves to optimum load sensing.

Valtra’s method of building tractors is based on customer orders. The customer and Valtra dealer specify together the tractor according to the customer´s requirements. All required features can be included and unnecessary ones avoided. The tractors are assembled from predefined modules and customers can be sure that they will get their tractor fresh from the factory; A facility that has been acclaimed as the most efficient in the industry. Valtra proves its flexibility by offering a comprehensive range of colours and the customer´s name can be placed on the cab free of charge.

Overview of the new N Series

The N Series brings a minor change to the model numbering system. The power rating is indicated in deka (tens of horsepowers) and closer to net (ECE R-24) than gross horsepower (ISO 14396). So N91 has 101 gross hp. The final digit -1- indicates model generation.

Power rating Classic HiTech Advance

101 hp/2200 405 Nm 44 DT N91 N91

110 hp/2200 460 Nm 44 DTA N101 N101
