Ilkka Hakala appointed President of Valtra
22.10.2001Lic.Sc. (Eng) Ilkka Hakala (46) has been appointed Partek´s Tractor Business Area President and President of Partek´s subsidiary Valtra Inc. as of January 1, 2002. He will also be a member of Partek´s Group Management. Valtra´s current President Jouko Tukiainen will retire at the age of 65.
Ilkka Hakala has held several other positions in the engineering industry in Finland and abroad, in the Sandvik group, as well as in Wärtsilä Oy and Valmet Oy.
Ilkka Hakala is presently President, Supply for Sandvik Mining and Construction. Before his current position, Mr. Hakala acted in Austria as President of coal machinery business sector, which is part of the Sandvik group.
