Transmission

Valtra 3000 series has a 24F + 24R speed gearbox with
- four synchronised main gears
- three range gears
- a synchronised splitter
- a synchronised reverser.
- The driving speed is with 4wd is 0.5-40 km/h and with 2wd 0.4-30 km/h.

The three range gears are divided into
- the Low range, giving creeper speeds 0.5-2.0 km/h
- the Medium range, giving field speeds 2.1-9.0 km/h
- the High range, giving road speeds 9.5-40 km/h.

The gear levers are located on the right hand side.

4wd is electro-hydraulically operated. It is disengaged by hydraulic pressure and engaged by springs. 4wd is engaged automatically when using both brake pedals. 4wd can be engaged on the move.

Power Take-Off (PTO) has two speeds
- 540/540E rpm plus the Ground Speed PTO
- 540/1000 rpm plus the Ground Speed PTO as an option, and is manually operated by a hand lever.
