PerPlant's AI crop sensor is now available factory-fitted through Valtra Unlimited.
Valtra Unlimited has partnered with Danish agtech company PerPlant to offer its AI crop sensor factory-fitted on new Valtra tractors. The sensor will be available for Valtra A105 and A115, G, N, T, Q, and S Series models, through Valtra Unlimited across selected European markets, with availability also possible in other markets upon request. Sales start in October 2026 alongside the launch of the new 6th-generation Valtra T Series.
Precision farming, built in at the factory
Valtra Unlimited builds tractors around each farmer's needs before they leave the factory. With the PerPlant Sensor, AI-powered plant recognition now becomes part of that process.
Farmers get a Valtra built and installed to Unlimited standards, combined with AI-powered crop sensing technology. The tractor is ready for precision farming from day one, with no extra hardware to source or set up.
In the Valtra Customise and Quote tool, the sensor is listed as "UNL PerPlant Crop Sensor" (option code 64352800).
Eyes for the tractor, brains for the field
The PerPlant Sensor is a single AI box with two cameras mounted on the tractor roof. As the tractor drives, it scans the crop and turns this data into maps and precise action in real time:
- Spot spraying – targets weeds green-on-green (e.g. docks in grass), green-on-brown and green-on-yellow.
- Variable-rate application – fertiliser, fungicide and growth regulator, day and night.
- Mapping and documentation – tracks biomass, weeds and risk zones across the season and uploads data to farm management systems.
Because the sensor scans automatically whenever the tractor is working, farmers can gain centimetre-level insight across the hectares they drive without extra passes.
The sensor works with ISOBUS sprayers, spreaders and seeders and integrates with the tractor's existing ISOBUS system. The solution complements Valtra’s existing precision farming offering and can be used alongside other technologies within Valtra’s wider ecosystem, including solutions from PTx.
Lower input costs, proven in the field
According to PerPlant, farmers using the system have achieved input savings of 40–87%, depending on the implement, at an average operating cost of around €4 per hectare on a 200-hectare farm.
What the partners say
Tomi Siljander, Manager, Product Engineering Unlimited, Valtra, said:
"Our customers increasingly expect smart solutions that help them farm more precisely and more profitably. PerPlant's technology fits naturally into the Valtra Unlimited offering, and this partnership gives farmers across Europe access to precision application directly with their new Valtra. We see strong potential in the solution and look forward to growing the partnership with PerPlant across our key European markets."
Rasmus Emil Hansen, CEO and co-founder of PerPlant, said:
"Most farmers want precision farming, but not the cost and complexity that usually comes with it. Working with Valtra means a farmer can now get AI that sees every plant straight from the factory, configured through Valtra Unlimited. We are proud that a brand farmers trust as much as Valtra has chosen PerPlant."
