Valtra’s G Series remains one of the best tractors in the 100 to 145 hp category

Valtra’s new G Series CVT Active model has been awarded the prestigious Tractor of the Year 2026 title in the Utility category. This recognition celebrates Valtra’s commitment to innovation, ease of use, and versatility in the 100–145 hp segment.

Unveiled at Agritechnica 2025, the G Series CVT model introduces a much-anticipated Continuously Variable Transmission option to Valtra’s popular G Series range. The G Series tractor exhibited at Agritechnica features a special custom hand-painted finish by renowned international artist Stilbruch Lack, and tyres by Trelleborg. Developed and manufactured by AGCO, the CVT transmission features a single working range from 0 to 40 km/h, making operation exceptionally simple. All CVT models are equipped with Load Sensing hydraulics for efficient performance. The CVT also supports fuel efficiency, keeping engine revs low while maintaining productivity. The powertrain operates on the EcoPower principle, already proven in Valtra’s larger Q and S Series tractors. As a result, there is no longer a need for separate EcoPower models in the G Series CVT lineup.

Designed for intuitive operation, the CVT models offer smooth starts and stops, easy access via wide, self-cleaning aluminium steps, exceptional visibility, and Valtra’s advanced smart farming solutions. The Valtra G Series is no stranger to awards. Since its launch in 2020, G Series models have won the FARM MACHINE 2022 Utility Tractor Award, an iF DESIGN AWARD 2021 in the Product Design category, Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021, and a Tractor of the Year 2021 award in the Utility category.
